Do You Know the Components of Water-based Peelable Coatings?
Water-based peelable coating is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic and harmless protective coating that can be used on surfaces of automobiles, home appliances (paint layers), metals and non-metallic objects.
Principle of Water-based Peelable Coatings:
The coating is applied to the surface of objects that need protection by brushing, spraying or rolling. After natural drying or low-temperature heating, it forms a polymer film on the protected surface, which can effectively prevent scratches, abrasions, impacts and defects caused by natural environmental conditions such as sunlight, wind, frost, rain and snow, including discoloration, powdering and aging. When protection is no longer needed, it can be manually peeled off, making it convenient and effective.
Application Fields of Water-based Peelable Coatings:
1. Protective coating for exported mechanical products;
2. Protection against scratches, abrasions and chemical discoloration for aluminum profiles (doors/windows) and stainless steel mirror panels;
3. Protective coating for important tools, mechanical parts, electroplated parts, home appliances, especially export parts;
4. Protective film for kitchenware, bathroom products and home appliances;
5. Protection and cleaning for stone monuments;
6. Protection for printed circuit boards during subsequent processing:
Can be used for masking non-plated areas of electroplated parts, anti-corrosion protection for electroplating fixtures and hangers;
Can also be applied to aluminum window frames during room decoration to prevent contamination during interior/exterior wall painting;
7. Original surface protection for automobiles:
From factory to customer delivery, cars are usually stored in open parking lots. During this period, the car paint will be eroded by various factors such as UV rays, acid rain, industrial dust, construction dust and insect excrement. The consequence is that the surface quality of the car purchased by customers is lower than the factory paint quality, so transitional protection of the car surface is very necessary.
8. Temporary protection during production of large steel components:
Ensures no rust occurs during long production cycles.
9. Temporary protection for metal and plastic sheets during stamping:
Ensures surfaces are not scratched or contaminated during forming.
Main Performance Requirements for Water-based Peelable Coatings:
1. Peelability - must form a continuous film that can be peeled off in one piece without breaking or partial adhesion to the substrate.
2. Thermal stability - the peelable film should not fall off the protected surface during thermal expansion/contraction.
3. Flexibility - can be stamped without falling off the protected surface, and can be used on 3D surfaces.
4. Chemical resistance - mainly acid and alkali resistance.
5. Application performance - limited by actual production lines, requires certain drying and anti-sagging properties.
6. Leveling and transparency.
